The reception desk, also called the reception counter, is the counter located between the reception staff and the guests.
One of the places that guests visit most in hotels is the reception desk. Therefore, it should be in a place where guests coming to the hotel can easily see it. The reception desk of some hotels has sections where reception, front desk and concierge services are provided. The size of the desks may vary depending on the size and number of the hotel. They are usually built parallel to the wall separating the back offices.
An area is left between the desk and the wall where the equipment used and the staff can work. It is usually between 180 – 200 cm.
The height of the desks is mostly between 100 - 110 cm and the width is between 70 - 80 cm.
The lobby is a customer's first contact with your hotel, and you should make it as striking and eye-catching as possible.
A lobby is a challenging space to decorate, as it must accommodate all types of guests and offer both private and public spaces for sitting, relaxing, and even working. In a modern hotel lobby, guests will expect quality, comfort and sophistication. Furniture that will create an inviting and warm feeling for customers should be chosen in this area. When choosing chairs and sofas, it should be taken into consideration whether they are comfortable or not.
